LOCK1-Structure

By drop database with many objects (TS,IX,Part) and a lot of statistic data, it can happen that the Lock1 structure gets full.

Other possible reasons for LOCK1-Structure full conditions during DDL (DROP):

- Object has to many entries in SYSIBM.SYSLGRNX (DSNDB01.SYSLGRNX)
- Object has to many entries in SYSIBM.SYSCOPY (DSNDB06.SYSCOPY)
- Objects has to many old statistic entries (DSNDB06.SYSHIST)

Dear Udo, Thank you for submitting this enhancement request. The Db2 for z/OS team re-reviewed it and determined that, in Db2 V13 we have dynamic alteration of CF lock structure storage. Please let us know if this would be a satisfactory solution to this Aha! idea. Thank you.

    Sincerely,

    The Db2 for z/OS Team
