START/STOP PROFILE ENHANCEMENT

Add START/STOP PROFILE for individual PROFILEIDs this would allow us to only affect that particular profile. In our example, we are using the profile to push certain ids to use our function level 507 NULLID packages. If we do a STOP those profiles default back to NULLID packages. We shouldn't have to worry about impacting all other processes just because we want to change one particular one.

Hello Michael, Thank you for submitting this enhancement request.

Our Db2 for z/OS development team reviewed it and is happy to inform you that you can set the profile ID you want to stop to have column PROFILE_ENABLED=N and -START PROFILE without stopping it. This should disable a profile ID and doesn't stop any other profile IDs.

We hope this addresses your request. At this time we will mark the idea as delivered, but please feel free to add comments in this idea if you have further questions about this idea.

    Sincerely,

The Db2 for z/OS Development tam
