If an alter is done to a TS to PCTFREE and a REORG is not run, then the catalog is updated but the change is not materialized. This results in the DBA thinking it was done, but it really wasn;t.
Why is it useful?
|Who would benefit from this IDEA?||DB2 community|
How should it work?
Once an ALTER is done that requires a reorg to materialize, place the object in advisory reorg
|Priority Justification||reduce issues with altering and not reorging|
