DB2 HADR takeover improvement if load copy in progress on standby

A load with copy yes is issued on the primary. When finished on the primary, it starts on the standby. At this point, an issue occurs on the primary and a take over is issued on the standby. Because of this take over, the primary becomes standby. But the standby does not become primary, because the load copy is still being executed. The standby only becomes primary when the load copy is finished. During all this time, there's no primary but two standby. If the file that's being loaded is quite large, it means a downtime of a few hours for this environment which is supposed to by highly available. It's not possible to avoid this situation: 1-> no error message nor warning returned by the take over command because of the load running on the standby at the same time. 2-> no possibility to check whether or not such a load is running on the standby. Once stuck in this situation, it's not possible to get out of it 3-> a new take over by force on the old primary is maybe not possible if server is not back online 4-> interrupting the load on the stand would result in rollback, time consuming as well. End users can't be informed completely of the issue. 5-> It's not possible to monitor the running load and estimate the time still necessary before its completion. lab's reply : We've got the confirmation from development support that it is currently not possible to monitor the load rollforward on a standby server in neither DB2 v9.7 nor 10.0. This is rather feature request and perhaps it needs to be worked through the other channels.
