Pause an online DB2 LUW backup

We would like the ability to pause an online backup in DB2 LUW, then resume it later. Although I selected Linux for the operating system, I would like to see if available on Unix and Windows also.

I don't think, this is a good idea to pause an online backup. Why do you want to do it? What causes you to need this?

During an online backup all active logs are kept and collected to append them to the online backup, so that the online backup image can be restored as a kind of offline snapshot backup (restore db with logtarget & rollforward to end of backup).

Having a pause (how long?) inbetween would block the logfiles and make the logpart much bigger.

i don't think, that the Db2 developers would implement such a risky feature. Just my $0.02
