Do some more checking when Db2 fixpack is installed - like will fixpack be working after instance upgrade

On my test computer Linux x86_64, Db2 v11.5.8.0 is installed and I decided to upgrade to v11.5.9.0.

1. I checked prerequisite and everything was successful.

./db2prereqcheck -i -s -v 11.5.9.0

2. I installed Db2 server and installation was successful without an error returned.

sudo ./db2_install -b /opt/ibm/db2/V11.5.9fp0 -p SERVER -f NOTSAMP -y -f NOPCMK

3. I validated installation and validation was perfectly successful.

sudo /opt/ibm/db2/V11.5.9fp0/bin/db2val

4. I have updated instance to new version. Program checks if update conditions are met and then upgrades without a problem.

sudo ./db2iupdt db2inst1

5. When I try to start instance I have got an error:

db2start: error while loading shared libraries: libaws-cpp-sdk-transfer.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

6. I checked the db2diag.log an absolutely no error or any kind of message is recorded. I updated dbm cfg DIAGLEVEL to maximum 4 and restart instance also do not produce absolutely no error or any kind of message.

Finally I have solved the problem with IBM support that installation program did not create some Linux symbolic link to appropriate library.

My suggestion is please add more diagnostic information, actually on all of the levels described above or at minimum in db2diag.log file. Anything useful would be great.

BTW, I was pointed to this web site by IBM support.
