We had DB2 HADR primary/standby configuration. Due to one application job,DB2 consumes all memory and OS killed db2sysc process. db2 restarted automatically by TSA but listener wasn't activated . There was no evidence in logs which process was using listener process . As there was no other process in server,we suspect it's DB2 process only which wasn't cleared earlier. We have to do manual stop and start which has activated listener again but this has caused 1 hour outage which is really shame for 24x7 critical system.
|Who would benefit from this IDEA?||All the customer who is having HADR solutions in place|
How should it work?
Please provide special build which should have additional logging in FODC or db2diag.log in case this issue happens again so that port details will be captured and additional information would be available to find the reason.
Also please check if there is additional checks we can implement before starting db2 again to cleanup all db2 process in memory.
|Priority Justification||This has caused business outage so it's top most priority for 24x7 business|
