We are utilizing Manta-SAS scaniner to scan .sas files from gitlab. To improve the efficiency and relevance of our scans, we aim to implement mechanisms that allow us to include or exclude specific .sas files based on certain criteria. This capability is crucial for managing large volumes of files and ensuring that obsolete or irrelevant scripts do not impact the performance of our scans. Our primary objectives are as follows:
1. Excluding specific .sas files to enhance performance:
We want to exclude certain .sas files from the scanning process. These files may be old, obsolete, incorrect, or otherwise out of scope for our current analysis. Excluding these files will help improve the scanning performance and focus on relevant scripts.
2. Including Only Certain .sas Files:
We need the ability to include only specific .sas files in our scan, excluding all others. This is particularly useful when we need to rescan files that have changed or are relevant to a particular analysis.
Below could be the ways this can be achieved:
1. By a Control file. A control file that lists .sas files to be included or excluded from the scan.
2. By Regular Expressions (Regex): Defining patterns with regex to include or exclude files based on their names or paths.
3. By File Modified Date: Including or excluding files based on their last modified date to ensure only recent or relevant files are scanned.
We have reviewed the official Manta documentation but could not find any relevant information on how to achieve these inclusion/exclusion goals. The Manta admin UI does not appear to provide options for excluding or including specific .sas files either.
Regards,
Harkumar
