03/28/2024. Two requirements -

(1) This is clarified by ING few weeks back they want the user interface in a language other than whats set in Browser Locale.

Engineering researching and would do some PoC. May be large effort and a larger impact. A candidate for a feature release in Q4 (v5.1) .

Research outcomes may help us schedule it early (based on scope and impact)

(2) Datastage Runtimes should generate output in two langauges simultaneously - User Locale on UI for end users , English in Server logs for admins


As a platform administrator with business units accross the world using the platform, I would like to see all the logs translated to platform language regardless of the language used when the job was executed.

    After discussion with ING, its more of language change via a brower user setting. https://bigblue.aha.io/ideas/ideas/CPDIDEAS-I-1929

    After a meeting between IBM and ING development, IBM now understands the requirements for languages - 1) we need a switch to set the CP4D user interface to the language of the users' choice. This does NOT mean English only - the requests were varying, but the summary is: let the user choose their language 2) since ING corporate policty controls all browser settings, CP4D would need to circumvent these settings. Optional browser plugins will likely be blocked by ING security (as they would be at IBM, as well). Thus, we need some kind of global brwoser override, for a specific portal (CP4D)
