Jobs API - have synchronous call to launch Datastage jobs

One of our customer (CNP in France) is evaluating the CP4D-DataStage. They have DataStage 11.5 and actually migrating to 11.7.

They have a framework (BASIC code that orchestrates the DataStage jobs) that is the centerpiece of their DataStage projects. This framework can not be used as is as CP4D does not support BASIC code.

In their evaluation they tried to rewrite a part of their framework in python in the Pipelines and they needed to launch DataStage jobs through API calls. They could launch jobs easily but the API response is immediate and specifies the job as running.

They would need instead to have the API call to respond when the job is done so that they can move on to the next steps on the framework.

They asked us for an enhancement of the Jobs API: the possibility to have synchronous calls that would only respond when the job is done. This is already possible to choose between synchronous and asynchronous using the cpd-cli (command line tool) and it would be great to have a similar choice in the API.
