RFE: Readable Commit Stream Topic + Commit Cycle ID (CCID)

We would like to use the information in the Commit Stream Topic, which IBM uses in a proprietary format for the TCC component, in a Kafka Streams Application in order to reconstruct a commit from our source database (Db2 for z/OS). Knowing the commit boundaries, we could create a consistent Business Object, which is essential for further processing. Currently we have only eventual consistency, but it would be possible with Kafka Streams to reconstruct a committed object.

Even though we have one consumer who uses TCC, we have also other applications which are build on Kafka Streams. Instead of forcing every consumer to use TCC in the downstream processing, we want to build a solution with native Kafka techniques, i.e. using Kafka Streams to reconstruct the transaction and create consistent BOs for the downstream applications.

Unfortunately the information in the IBM Commit Stream Topic is currently not usable/readable without the TCC component.

Furthermore we would like to have the Commit Cycle ID (CCID) from Db2 z/OS source in the commit stream topic, in order to use it for a join in our Streams Application.

Please see also the enclosed illustrations (in the next section).
