Currently, there is limited ability to horizontally scale TCC applications, as the filtering is only at the granularity of a Topic. It is possible, of course, to have TCC instance ignore some data, but this is wasteful from a read perspective. TCC already allows Topic filtering as part of configuration. If it could also filter based on a Partition identifier, it would mean many TCC instances could exist each processing a defined subset of the data.
