DC Searching for members takes a long time

Using a Dynamic Cube and searching for member caption or any other attribute is taking a massive amount of time from Reports. If you search for one member its fine but searching for several at the same time (more than 10) in a dimension with 200.000 members is hardly working.

Using a filter on the attribute does not work well either …[Member Description] in (#csv(split('\u000A',prompt('pArticles', 'token')))#) from a multi-line text prompt takes the same time as doing the search from Reports

As a workaround for this I have tested using a custom control loading only the memberKeys and the attribute to search for so that the custom control can return the MUN's for the members found. When searching for 100 members in this 200.000 member hierarchy takes less than 1 second and the members appears directly in the report.
However loading 200.000 member keys (<3MB of data) into a custom control takes well over 2 minutes through a fast network (network is clearly not the bottle neck). I would expect this to take a few seconds at most.

So basically this is mainly about multiple member search. But also about loading data to a custom control

The team has considered the request, and it will not be delivered in the future. If this request receives continued customer interest, this decision may be revisted.
