Ability to turn off or lock the new feature of automatically creating table structures when dropping objects

The new feature in Cognos 11.1.1 of automatically creating table structures when dropping an object. This makes nesting data items into the end column/row of a crosstab or table very difficult. It also makes reporting writing unnecessarily difficult, e.g. every time dropping a text item into a column heading unexpected table structures are automatically added. Now I have to switch to the Page Structure interface for dropping new objects or use copy & paste.

Under report options, there is a setting called "Enable guided report layout". Report authors have the ability to uncheck this to disable the feature.
