Use a report as source to create a dataset

Starting from a package , a new dataset can be created. But i'm missing some features to assemble my new dataset. Only filtering is possible. Why it isn't possible to create a dataset from a report ? In reporting we have a lot more possibilities (union, join,..).

    11.1.7 will allow users to copy/paste reportspec from a report to a data set for reuse. Users can also copy/paste individual queries from a report to a data set.

    perspective=authoring not working in 11.1.5

    Very important to use reports as source of datasets.

    • Edit your data set.
    • In the browser's address bar, change perspective=dataset to perspective=authoring.

    Now you can use all of the features of Reporting to edit your data set.

    Of course, it would be nice if IBM provided a button in the data set authoring tool to change perspectives.
