Prompt User for Credentials if Database Login Fails

We report off of an Oracle database using database credentials that expire after 30 days. When you run a report, you get prompted for a user name and password along with a checkbox that says “Remember my user ID and password when connecting to this data source.” If you check that box, then you'll see it in the list of Data Source Credentials on your personal preferences page. If those credentials expire and you try to run a report, you get the message “login failed.” WHAT SHOULD HAPPEN: You get prompted for user ID and password with the option to save credentials. WHAT REALLY HAPPENS: You have to go to My Preferences > Personal tab, scroll to “Data source credentials,” delete the expired credential, and run the report again so it will prompt you to save credentials again.
