Cognos BI Support IE 11 on touch sensitive devices (MSGesture)

In IE11 on any touch sensitive device, Microsoft created new events to handle things like mouse movement, finger swipes, and light pen interactions. Prior to IE 11, these were all considered Mouse events, however in IE11 Microsoft changed their code to Create MSGesture events. On a touch sensitive machine there is a registry entry that identifies to IE that the device has touch sensitivity and as a result our applications have some issues (There are plenty of applications outside of Cognos that have the same issues).

Firefox, Chrome, and Safari all appear to have no issues as they continue to interpret every event on a Touch device as one call which we handle fine.

Thus, currently we do not support Windows with touch on IE11 due to MicroSoft loading additional, extra functionality. Please raise the issue with Microsoft if IE 11 is absolutely required.
