iSeries Connectivity for Cognos Analytics Cloud

In order to leverage CA on Cloud, some clients need the ability to query their on-prem iSeries data sources. To do this, a corresponding JDBC connector needs to be made available on the cloud.

Cognos Analytics supports Db2 i via two different JDBC drivers - one is known as JT400 and is free for iSeries customers, the other is the "regular" Db2 driver called JCC and has additional licensing costs for iSeries customers

Either driver can be uploaded into the Cognos Analytics on Cloud HOSTED via SFTP w
ith the new 11.1 Cloud architecture to create datasource connections. A CA restart will be required of your cloud instance after the upload.
