Started 11.1.1 version, we support copy/paste between different browsers. This was done by us implementing an internal clipboard type of storage.

Currently users in companies cannot use Cognos Analytics if they desire to use browsers other than Internet Explorer. Simply because of this "bug". It was reported to IBM in 2016 however, because of lack of knowledge on how to fix it, ignored and closed. (see: http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg22009270) This is core functionality for any user requiring to use reporting. A report author continuously will use and reuse elements of his previous reports to decrease work time and produce reports faster.
I want to escalate this one to the dev teams to make sure they prioritize this and fix as follows:
- Add below functionality in all supported browsers, especially Microsoft Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Apple Firefox;
- Add support for clipboard access commands CTRL-C, CTRL-V, CTRL-X
- Add support to use clipboard access to copy/cut/paste : Data Elements, Filters, Queries, Objects, and/or any other Authoring functionality.
