REFERENCE CASE TS003064034,
Higher risk applications leveraging Cognos have desires to restrict users to the point that reports or report links cannot be sent out to any other person or group in TO, CC, or Bcc sections, other than themself.
There exists a technote for C10, however this wouldn't work for us because user would be able to type in their own outlook group DL, thereby voiding the purpose we're aiming for.
Our exact requirement is that Cognos System Administrators should have control over the mailer utility, choosing what user a cognos professional could select while mailing and also restrict that professional from typing any email ID (individual or group)
Why is it useful?
|Who would benefit from this IDEA?||High risk or high security applications leveraging Cognos. perhaps financial institutions or the like|
How should it work?
Cognos administrators need to have control over mailer utility
Cognos admins set the user(s) a cognos professional can select while mailing reports or report links
Cognos professional should not be able to write down any extra email IDs themself
|Priority Justification||For the purposes of which this RFE has been raised, the application as a whole is critical to regular business operations. That said such a request may cover a handfull over users, thus rather that High priority I'm marking this as medium|
