Dashboard tooltips for duplicate items

Current functionality means that if a data item is on a visualisation as both a field and a tooltip it won't show in the tooltip. For example, if the Revenue data item is used for bar length and again in the visualisation tooltip, then the tooltip is ignored.

On first glance this looks like clever behaviour, why would you want to see revenue twice? But consider that I could have the Revenue in the length formatted as abbreviated, with the Revenue tooltip formatted as currency unabbreviated.

Having the data item twice would allow it to be shown on the chart as £5.3M, but the tooltip to show Revenue £5,260,321

The product should only hide the duplicate item if the data item is the same and all other properties are the same. In my example, whilst the data item is the same, the formatting properties are not. So both should be shown in the tooltip.

There is a crazy workaround of having to create a calculated Revenue measure to use in the tooltip, in effect doubling all measures in the data module where we want this functionality.

In short, as an author, I have chosen to add this field to the tooltip. The software should do as i am asking, not second guessing and removing something that could be useful to the dashboard consumer.
