Who would benefit from this IDEA? Any user/developer who wants to visualize statistical data with cognos
How should it work?

There should be a function that a user can pass the measure they want to split up, and how many bins the data should be split into (or what % of the data each bin should conatin). Currently, the use would have to write a case statement to achieve this. This would be a good function to use in data modules and cache into data sets. tableau and power bi have split into bin functions

Idea Priority Medium
Priority Justification The lack of statistical focus removes cognos as an option for many data scientist

Bins are already supported in Data Modules today - called Data Groups where statistical information is provided along with bins defined from them.... these can be adjusted.... Can't read from the request what more functionality is needed here? Thanks
