We have a global BI platform Cognos Analytics (linux) solution within ING and we want to use that for all the ING users worldwide. We already received requests for connecting KDB to Cognos. I would estimate around a couple of hundred of users that would be impacted by this.
|Who would benefit from this IDEA?||As user of Cognos Analytics, I want to be able to do reporting in Cognos for time series database (KDB) as it is used significantly in the company.|
How should it work?
We want to be able to connect KDB database to Cognos on linux. The benefits would be that we can use Cognos on time series database. Currently there is no workaround available for us since we do not support Cognos installation on Windows.
|Priority Justification||KDB is used by many top financial institutions for its speed, power, and scalability in complex, time-series market data analyses (ING Bank is using it extensively).|
