Data Module Export/Import - Distribution

We need the ability to distribute a data module to our client base where the database name it references may change from what we have developed the data module against. This will most likely happen in a multitenant, cloud environment, but could happen on premise as well. Currently, data modules retain the database name as part of the schemas and they fail to load, once imported. The ideal solution would be to store the data source connection name and the schema names (without the database name). This would allow the data module to work properly with a properly configured data source name (providing the data source connection is named the same).

An alternate solution could be to update the properties of a data module to allow you to specify a data source connection/schema group that the data module points to. Ultimately it would be best if it didn't need this step, but this would be worth while to have as well, since that would allow the data source name to be different. The downside to the alternate solution is it would get overwritten with each import.

We have seen the ability to edit a data module vary, where sometimes we can get in to relink the data module and other times it errors out and won't let us in to relink it.

This would be similar to how Framework manager handles connections, where it is referencing a specific data source, but not the details of it.
