Save Report to Uploaded CSV File or consume directly in Data Module

Create option to save a report output so that it gets directly uploaded into Cognos again as an external file and can then be consumed by a Data Module. Or alternatively have Data Modules consume reports directly

We currently have about 20 Cognos reports (with a lot of logic in them) we have scheduled to run to Excel and save to the file system. We then have to manually upload those files into Cognos before they can be consumed by a Data Module. It would be great if this process could be more integrated. As there is a lot of logic on the report level (set operations, calcs etc), a Data Set or direct pull from a FM package isn't practical

    Thank you very much Rachel. Copy and Pasting of Report queries into Data Sets would already extermely helpful assuming those queries can be based on set operations etc. Is that functionality on the radar for this year?

    This request will not be delivered within the release currently under development, but the theme is aligned with our multi-year strategy. We will continue monitoring feedback for this request through activities such as voting.

    Furthermore, we plan to support copy/paste queries from reports to data set editor in a future release.

    To be able to output a report into dataset is not as straight forward. Report may contain many layout information which are not obvious to users that they can not be part of the output.
