Read Only Access to Permissions and Capabilities Tabs

Users who can't access folders or reports due to security settings don't understand what the security settings are to know what access to request. They can't see the Permissions and Capabilities tabs of the objects.

All they can see is their current status of access on the Advanced tab. Unlike the Permissions tab where they can see which roles or groups have the level of access they want to get. It would be helpful if the user was able to identify which role or group they wanted added to their profile. For data permissions, that process is handled outside of Cognos. Business managers manage who gets into what group. Not having to help users figure out which role or group they need would save the Cognos Admins time.

This information is available under the adanced option of properties for any object. A user can see what permission they have on that object
