'on no match default' functionality (for import specifications) in Controller Web

Customer already use import specs and CSV files to import data into Controller classic.

However, they would like to use Controller Web instead. The customer relies on the classic functionality "on no match default" to get their classic imports to work

  • Unfortunately 'on no match default' functionality is not available in Controller Web :-(

This means that we cannot cope with the following scenario, relating to intercompany.

Imagine a scenario where the countercompany is derived from the account code, for example:

  • account 214010 maps to an intercompany account on the account lookup table, and also countercompany 13001.

  • account 214011 maps to the same intercompany account on the account lookup table, but this time to countercompany 11100.

In Controller Classic, when using a lookup table in an operation template, there is the option to select “on no match default” and choose the blank substitution character.

However, in Controller Web, this function is not available ☹.

The intercompany lookup table only contains a handful of accounts. Therefore the import is failing because it thinks all accounts need to map to a countercompany.

We have tried adding a non-intercompany account to the intercompany lookup table, but there is no option to leave the “To” field blank.

=> Please can a future Controller Web have the functionality similar to 'on no match default' ?

Many thanks!
