In Controller Web, both in the standard and free forms, a pop up window is used for entering a comment on a account. In some cases, it is great to have a list with predefined options of comments instead of letting the reporter enter a free text. In Controller Classic this is solved in the free form by using the function cc.fPutComment and the Excel functionality of creating a drop-down list in that cell. In the 10.4.2 version of Controller Web, the cc.fPutComment function is not supported for entering comments directly in the cell. If this could be solved we would be very pleased since this is a crucial functionality for many of our clients.
Why is it useful?
|Who would benefit from this IDEA?||Most of our customers who want to switch from reporting through Controller Classic to Controller Web since this functionality is crucial and commonly used to make the correct reporting input.|
How should it work?
Preferably make the free forms to support entering text in the cc.fputcomment function from the Controller Web interface or similar functionality. In the 10.4.2 version when having the cc.fputcomment function in a free form with a drop down list, the list is visible but it is not possible to select a comment from the list. The entered comment in the pop up window is visible in the putcomment cell when saving the data.
|Priority Justification||Since free forms has been the crucial point to go from Classic to Web for many users, the functions that is used in the free form must be supported from the web.|
