Using Cloud Pak for Data as a service, one should be able to stop a runaway BigSQL query without access to OpenShift pods. Per IBM recommendation, we are using BigSQL to access parquet files stored in Cloud Object Storage. This is supported in Cloud Pak for Data via Data Virtualization. Externally, outside of Cloud Pk for Data, we are using DBeaver community edition to connect to the BigSQL database and run BigSQL query from DBeaver. That said, we CANNOT stop a runaway BigSQL query at all. We CANNOT stop it in DBeaver nor Cloud Pak for Data.
|Who would benefit from this IDEA?||As a customer, I want the ability to stop runaway BigSQL query so that I can truly use Cloud Pak for Data as a service|
How should it work?
1. No proposed solution . Raised this question in TS004261410
2. Stop runaway BigSQL query when using Cloud Pak for Data as a service
3. No work around exist today
|Priority Justification||We are using Cloud Pak for Data as a service today. Without the ability to stop runaway BigSQL query, we are having a hard time justifying using Cloud Pak for Data as a service.|
